Newhill Football Club is proud to unveil its brand-new U18 kit, proudly featuring Donate4Dáithí as the team’s main sponsor for the 2025/26 season.
The club welcomed Dáithí Mac Gabhann and his father Máirtín to Whiterock to officially reveal the kit and meet with the U18 squad. The partnership is part of Newhill FC’s commitment to using football as a platform to promote positive social change and raise awareness about the importance of organ donation.
Donate4Dáithí is a widely recognised campaign inspired by young Dáithí’s journey while waiting for a heart transplant. It has played a leading role in the introduction of Dáithí’s Law, bringing an opt-out organ donation system.
“Having Dáithí and Máirtín at the club today was an honour,” said David McKeown, U18 Head Coach at Newhill FC. “This campaign means so much to our community, and the boys are incredibly proud to wear the Donate4Dáithí logo on their shirts. It’s more than just a kit — it’s a message about hope, awareness, and supporting one another.”
🗣️Máirtín added that ”We are so grateful to Newhill FC for creating this incredible jersey and for choosing to stand with our Donate4Dáithí campaign. Awareness saves lives, and this kind of visibility means the absolute world to our family and to Dáithí. We see it as more than a gesture; it’s taking action. Seeing the young people of this great club wear this kit, pass on this important message, and start conversations about organ donation is priceless.”
This collaboration reflects Newhill FC’s values as a community-driven club, committed to inspiring young people both on and off the pitch. The new kit will be worn throughout the 2025/26 season at league and cup fixtures.
